Mike Richards will lead them in scoring if and only if the bars stay open later and if he gets more drunk girls now that he has 2 fancy rings. |

Is this a legit question? Because the answer would seem quite obvious...no? |

Are the Kings gonna put Richards back on the 3rd line? If he can bounce back, the Kings could have a 3rd line of King-Richards-Williams. Holy poop |

Off topic, but the Kings looked REALLY GOOD in that preseason game last night against the duckies. I know it's just preseason but The Kings were missing Kopitar, Gaborik, Brown, Stoll, Doughty, Quick, Martinez, Clifford, And Lewis. The duckies essentially had their NHL lineup out there minus Thompson and Palmeri. |

Jason Lewis: Who Will Lead the Kings in Scoring this Year? - Jason_Lewis
If all these guys stay healthy I think they all could have big seasons. I believe Carter will have a 40 goal season. It's hard to imagine Kopitar not getting 90- 100 points as well. Going to be exciting to watch with the great defense they have.
Carter: 40 goals
Kopitar : 40 goals
Gabby: 30 goals
Toffoli: 25 goals
Brown: 20-25 goals
Doughty: 20 goals
King: 20 goals
Pearson 15 goals
Maybe I'm being too optimistic |

That would be great if the scoring looked like that but it's not likely. I can see carter and gabo hitting 40 or close to it. I'd say 35 each Kopitar with 25-30. The rest will sort themselves out. I'm hoping Richards hits the 20G mark but he's got to be on a line that will give him the minutes and opportunity.

Richards was never on the third line. Before his demotion, he was centering the second line with Pearson/King and Carter playing on his wings. Stoll has been the only 3rd line center since Handzus left. |

First line of Tukonen, Holloway, and Moller will lead the Kings to a 3rd and 4th cup.
Book it. |

Yea, you have those 8 players scoring more goals than the entire team did combined last season. This doesn't even include Wiliams, Voynov, Martinez, or Stoll, plus the handful that the 4th line guys are sure to get. A showing like this would mean that the Kings would lead the league in scoring, and that is definitely a stretch. |

Per the Kings MO, I expect the drop off to be steep past the first 4 but consistent in a "score by committee" style |

I'm all for a "scoring by commitee" type of team. Never really have to rely on that one guy to try to get the tying goal or winning goal. But the Kings do have those types of players in Carter and Gaborik. |

Guess you missed the last line I wrote about being to optimistic. Should be a fun season, and hopefully a lot more scoring then last year. |

It wasn't a lie because the Flyers could never have won the cup with either. LA Kings were leagues ahead before the deal. They were the missing pieces and Richards dint contribute much on the 4th line last season. |

I feel like that's a bit of an overreaction. They lost the cup in game 6 OT with them. A few bounces away maybe from beating a very good Chicago team is very close to winning a cup, I would say. |

It's like people forget this.
They were a fluke goal away from pushing on to a game 7 where they very well could have won it all. |
